Mushroom Gardening Workshop
Learn how to grow mushrooms with the Austin Organic Gardeners, build healthy soil, sequester carbon, and feed the soil, your plants, and you with nutritious Vitamin D-filled mushrooms! You will also be helping divert organic matter from the waste stream! Mother Earth will love you.
Cost: Donations accepted for supplies. Register here and purchase General Admission tickets to ZBG. Free for ZBGC members.
What to Bring: Folding Chair or Blanket, Cordless power drill (if you have one), Bring your own bucket. 5-gallon containers: planter pot, bucket, laundry basket, milk crate, or crate for vegetables, wire mesh container like a birdhouse, strawberry pot. Don’t buy anything new. Let’s recycle. Any container with holes in it will work including a cardboard box.
This will take place in the Oak Grove.
